Easter Egg Hunt

Tate's friend, Cooper, invited us to go with them to an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning.  When we woke up it was raining like crazy and even snowing a bit. I wasn't too excited about going, but decided we would brave it anyway.  The rain stopped by the time we left, but it was still cold.  We got all bundled up and Tate was so excited. I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Tate and Cooper all sorts of happy waiting for their chance to grab some eggs.  The baseball field was covered with eggs.
All smiles!
On your mark, get set, go!
Literally, about three minutes later this is what comes back.  You can't tell, but they are both crying. I should have taken a picture of their baskets. They each had two eggs and were sad they didn't get more. .  They were definitely out done by the bigger kids.  Some nice little girl, who had a full bucket of eggs,  saw the two of them crying and gave them some of her eggs. What a sweetheart! That brought a smile to Tate's face.  Every kid gets a ticket at the end and gets to trade it in for a prize.
Tate was thrilled with his new Spider Man Kite!  When we got home, Tate told Kraig that it was the best Easter Egg Hunt Ever. Ah!  The things kids say and how quickly they forget!

What a blessing it is to have good friends. How nice it was that parents had taught their daughter to look for the needs of others. All is well that ends well.
