Beware!
I finally updated our blog after adding nothing for almost 3 months. There are a lot of posts and pictures. I guess I had to try and play catch up. So, enjoy the reading. It is more like a novel right about now.
Fieldtrip to the Fire Station
I took my preschool class to the Springville Fire Station last week for a field trip. Tate was more than happy to come along. We had such a good time. The first department just moved into their new fire station and we were their first tour. They let the kids climb on the trucks, go inside the ambluance, take their picture with the firefighter who was all dressed in his fire fighting gear and then take a picture with a fire truck with the lights on. They were all so nice to the kids!
Here they all are listening to the fire fighter and watching him put on all his gear. Man, that looks heavy.
Tate was so excited. He keeps asking me when we are going to go back to the fire station. It was a hit.
Tate waiting for his turn to get his oxygen levels and blood pressure checked. They let the kids get in the ambulance and they let them play around. Too much fun for a little kid.
Easter at Aunt Heidi's
With Grandma Hollist being on a mission, we were left to throw our own Easter Party. The weather was pretty rotten the weekend before. So, we decided to have a little get together for Family Home Evening the day after Easter. No one seemed to really care that Easter had come and gone. We ate yummy pulled pork sandwiches (thanks Becky for the great recipe), salads, chips and toasted marshmallows around the firepit and ate smores for dessert. We had so much fun. Thanks Heidi, for making it such a fun night. Tate loves going to Aunt Heidi's house. He is even willing to take a nap if it means he can go to Heidi's afterwords.
Easter at Grandma Cannon's
We always have so much fun at Grandma Cannon's, especially on holidays. Easter was no exception. There is always plenty of candy, food and fun for everyone. This Easter we also celebrated Uncle Klark's birthday with yummy fajitas and homemade cheescake that Kraig made. It was all so delicious. Tate was once again spoiled by all. Grandma and Grandpa gave him a new shirt and shorts and a pair of sandals. Uncle Klark and Denise spoiled him with his own Easter Basket full of fun stuff. And Uncle Kyle and Aunt Jessica spoiled him even more with another basket full of two bags of his own candy. Thanks everyone for being so nice to our little man. We love you all.
Showing off his new Easter shirt from Granda Cannon.
Opening his Easter Basket from Uncle Klark and Denise
Showing off his carrot bat. This was his favorite thing from the whole day. He played with it all night and has stopped playing with it. The bat goes with us in the car anytime we go anywhere and it also goes to bed with Tate. He loves it.
Showing his Mickey Mouse Bubbles. They know just what Tate likes. The basket was full of Mickey Mouse bubbles, coloring books, stickers and of course candy.
Holding up is "Nemo" Easter Egg. He was so excited that he had an egg full of candy and that it looked like Nemo. The egg now takes tubbies with Tate.
One of the pieces of candy inside the eggs was a Warhead. We convinced Tate to go ahead and try it. He was not impressed.
The Easter Bunny Found our House
Tate has been really excited about the Easter Bunny. I guess this is the first year he has really started to figure the whole thing out. When we went to get him out of his bed Easter morning, Kraig asked him, "Should we go see if the Easter Bunny came." Tate then got the biggest eyes, jumped out of bed and started running downstairs (where the Christmas tree was during Christmas.) He stopped him and told him the Easter Bunny left his basket upstairs. He turned around and got so excited. He immediately started to open up all of the eggs, dump out the candy and sort them into piles. He was so excited. My favorite part of the whole morning is when he saw a Candyland game that the Easter Bunny gave him. He asked, "Who gave me this?" We of course told him the Easter Bunny. Tate quickly said, 'No he didn't we bought that at Walmart." Oops, I guess he is getting a little too smart to buy anything for him when he is around. He must have forgotten though, because now if you ask him he tells you the Easter Bunny gave it to him.
Easter Egg Fun
We finally decided that we would try to be good parents this year. We broke down and decorated Easter Eggs with Tate. He is allergic to eggs, so he couldn't eat any of them, but he sure had fun decorating them. He loved watching the little tablets turn into different colors, dunking the eggs, putting on the stickers and writing on the eggs with the magic white crayon. Of course, several eggs were injured in the process due to an overexcited Tate. But, we all had a good time.

What Have We Been Up To?
Nothing too exciting has been happening around our house lately. We have been sick of this yucky weather and waiting for it to be nice outside for a change. Tate's new thing to do is wrestle. He would wrestle all day if he had someone to wrestle with. His cousin, Camden, taught him how to wrestle and to get his hands ready. Here he is getting ready to go.

We also finally found a cookie recipe that Tate can eat that is actually good. So, we have been making cookies! Tate has found a new joy in eating cookie dough (egg free of course).
Happy Birthday, Kraig!
This post is just a little bit late, but I guess it is better late than never. I love this picture of Kraig (with Tate's help of course), blowing out his candle on his birthday cupcake. Tate wanted to make sure that we made Kraig some cupcakes and put candles on them. We had a fun day for his birthday. Kraig took the day off so we took a picnic to the park and played and then we made tacos for dinner and had cupcakes. Not too eventful, but we had fun. Happy Birthday, Kraig. Thanks for being such a gread dad and husband. Sorry this is a month late! OOPS!
