Happy Birthday, Little Man

I seriously can not believe that my little man is four today.  How did he grow up so fast?   We love having Tate in our family. He really brightens up our day.  Tate loves to learn. He he is learning to read and ride a bike without training wheels. He loves playing the Wii, playing outside and playing with friends. He is developing quite the little sense of humor and loves to play jokes on people and make people laugh.  He loves playing at his Aunt Heidi's house with all of his cousins.

Tate is such a good boy and we love him to death around here. Happy Birthday, Tater Bug.

Happy Early Birthday, Tater Bug!

I can hardly believe that my baby boy will turn four tomorrow.  It really can't seem possible. I absolutely love this little guy more and more every day. He truly is a blessing in our lives.   And since there is a birthday, there defintiely has to be a party.  This year we ended up going all out. Not really on purpose, but we did.  The party turned out great. Tate had so much fun and I think all of his friends did too.  This year we had a carnival party.  Tate invited all of his friends, his cousins and grandmas and grandpas.  We played carnival games, had a big bounce house, ate hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, chips, drinks, cupcakes and candy. Way too much junk food, but isn't that what a carnival is all about.  Here is a whole bunch (yes, I realize picture overload) of pictures from the big day.

While everyone was coming, the kids decorated bags with stickers and colored pictures so they would have something to carry all of their treasures in.

Then Tate opened his presents. His friends were so good to him. He loves his monster trucks.

A fun nerf gun.

A slip and slide.

A butterfly habitat. He can't wait to grow his own butterflies.
He also recieved playdough, color wonder book, candy, a hopper, goggles and a kick board, Jumpin Monkeys game, a bubble rocket and so many fun toys.  He was spoiled.

He loves his Toy Story punching bag.  It has been well used.

Next we ate lunch.  Hot dogs, chips and Capri Suns.

Tate was pretty specific about what was for lunch.

Tate loves his daddy.

Grandpa Joe and Grandma came to help. Tate is lucky to have a lot of people who love him. Tate's aunt and cousins and even a cousins friend came over to help run all of the carnvial games. We couldn't have done it without them.

Let the fun begin. Basketball toss.

Bowling

Penny toss

Spray the cans with the squirt gun.

Grandma and Grandpa Cannon came to get in on all of the fun.

Grandpa Joe was such a good help!

Ashlyn and Brooklyn doing the duck pond.

Time to bounce

What a happy boy! I think he loved his party! The big smiles make all of the hard work worth every minute.

Tate loves his cousin Camden. Cam was so good to all of the kids. He was giving piggy back rides and all of the boys loved wrestling with him.

Tate, we love you bud! Hope you had a fun time at your party. We can't wait to celebrate your real birthday tomorrow!

Tate the Great

Tate is such a helper. One day, when I was gone, Kraig was having Tate help with the laundry. His job was to put the clothes from the washer into the dryer.  Now, when I have Tate help with this job, I usually put the clotes on the door of the dryer and he pushes them in. But, dad, like usual, is always more fun and let Tate climb up into the washer to get the clothes and then put them himself into the dryer.  Dads are always more fun!  Now, Tate loves to do laundry.

Yes, this is now how Tate thinks laundry should be done!

A Day with Hyrum

Tate has really been excited lately about playing with his cousin Hyrum. So, we went up to their house and spent the day playing and having a good time with his cousins.  Tate even got to have a sleep over at Hyrums and loved every minute of it. I was a little worried about if he would actually stay and sleep, but he had a great time and can't wait to go back.  We spent the day playing Wii (Super Mario Brothers, Tate's new obsession), playing at the park, going for Slurpees, riding bikes, playing on the tramp and having a yummy dinner.  We love having cousins to play with!

Flying Kites!

Addie was so good to help Tate fly his kite. He is lucky to have such great cousins who take such good care of him.

Rolling down the hill.

More rolling races. Who will win?

Addie taught Tate how to play Shadow Tag. He loved it.

Easter at Grandma's

I just realized I never posted pictures of our Easter Egg Hunt and dinner at my mom's house.  This year we had our party the day after Easter and had so much fun.  We started the night with the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, followed by dinner and then a new tradition this year.  My mom bought this colored Easter Eggs that were full of confetti. The plan was to do them outside, but it was too cold and snowy. So, we cracked eggs inside. The kids had an egg fight and threw eggs at each other with confetti flying everywhere.  Everyone and everything was covered in confetti.  Needless to say it was a mess to clean up, but the kids had a great time.  Thanks mom for such a fun time.
