Take Me Out To The Ball Game
This post is a little slow, but must be added. Tate is a huge "Hootz" fan. For those of you who don't know he is the mascot for the Orem Owlz Baseball Team. He has been begging to go and see "Hootz" for months. Everytime we drive past UVSC, I guess it is now UVU, he gets excited and asks if we are going to Hootz House. The day finally came on June 17 and needless to say Tate was so excited. When Tate woke up that morning, Kraig told him we were going to see "Hootz" after work today. So, all day Tate kept asking, "I see Hootz yet?" "Dad home from work mom." By the time we got there Tate was begging to see Hootz. But, as soon as he saw him he wanted nothing to do with him, well at least not up close. All game, he looked for the owl. He had to know where he was at all times. By the end of the game he let us get close enough for a picture. He seemed to have a great time. Now he goes around the house singing, "Take Me Out To The Ball Game," and asking when we are going to see Hootz again.
Hootz, Tate and Dad
Dad and Tate watching the "Game Ball."
That is what Tate calls the ball game.
Showing off his new Hootz Hat. He loves wearing it backwards. He even sleeps with it on.
Say Cheese
We finally got Tate's pictures taken for his second birthday. We were only a month and a half late, but oh well. At least we did it, right. He did such a good job and was more than happy to smile for the camera. He is such a little cheese ball. If you want to see how they turned out, you can see his pictures by clicking on the link below. We think they turned out pretty darn cute.

Brooklyn's Birthday Party
Brooklyn turned 7 last week and we were able to go to her birthday party. We had so much fun eating cake and ice cream and playing in the backyard. Thanks for such a fun time. Tate is always happy at his cousins.
Day at the Park
Kraig came home early from work on Friday and decided to take Tate to the park.
He loves the park.
Fun In The Sun
Tate's Aunt Heidi invited him to come up and play on their big waterslide. He was so excited to go until he got there and saw it. He didn't really want to go down it, but after a little convincing he went down with his cousin Brooklyn.

Tate just before going down the slide.
Doesn't he look excited?
He spent the rest of the afternoon playing in the pool and dumping cups of water onto the trampoline. These cups entertained him for hours.

Mine Big Boy Bed
While Kraig and I were crusing in Mexico, Tate slept in "Klarky's Big Boy Bed." Everyone told us that Tate slept wonderfully on that bed and that he stayed there all night and didn't have any troubles. So, we thought this would be the perfect time to get Tate his own "Big Boy Bed." So, we had his bed delivered, Kraig put it together and we were expecting a great nights sleep. Boy were we wrong. The first night he got sick in his bed and we spent the night cleaning sheets and staying up with a sick boy. The second night he got out of bed 4 times, just because he could and the third night he fell out of bed every 30 minutes or so until be put the mattress on the floor. Then he was upset because, "Daddy broke me bed." Finally, we found one of those bed rails and put that on his bed. That was a miracle. He slept all night once we put that on. Now he loves his bed and loves to have people come and see "mine big boy bed."
The Great Outdoors
If you are Tate you are only happy if you are outside. As soon as he gets up in the morning he asks for his slide-swingset and his sandbox. He can't wait to get outside and play. He loves playing bubbles and riding his bike. It is even better if there are kids to play with. He has recently decided it is fun to play "crash." He drives his bike up to the others and runs into them. Then, they all laugh.
Tate Turns Two
I can't believe that my baby is already 2. He is still talking about his birthday and his car cake. So, I thought I would post a few pictures for everyone to see. I am so not creative or good at baking, so here is my first attempt at cake decorating. It acutally didn't turn out too bad. I also decorated boxes to look like Lightning McQueen for Tate and his cousins to drive around. He seemed to have a fun day.

I finally gave in...
I have been asked so many times when I was going to start a blog. I really don't know what I am doing, but slowly I will figure it out. Hopefully this will be a fun way to keep everyone up to date about what is happening in our little family. We aren't that exciting, so don't be expecting too much.
