Preschool Field Trip

Last week we went on another preschool field trip. It is always so fun to take my cute little class places. They always get so excited and eager to see everything. Tate was no exception.  He talked about going to the police station and the post office for weeks before even going.  He even decided that when he grows up he wants to be a police officer so he can keep people safe and collect money (I guess that is what they do, isn't it?)

All the kids waiting to go into the Post Office.

Tate loved seeing where all the mail gets dropped off.

Who knew you could mail a live chicken?  The day we were at the post office a chicken had arrived in the mail and was waiting to be picked up by its new owner. It was making all sorts of fun noises and the kids thought this was the highlight of the whole field trip.  Tate loved putting his ear down by the box to see if he could hear it inside of the box.

Listening to the Police Officer before going through the police station.

Tate sitting inside one of the holding cells.  Tate thought this was really cool.  I am not sure what to think of that!  I guess we need to change some thinking within the next few years.

Driving the police car. The officer chose Tate to turn on the lights.  Tate was so excited.

Tate and his class with the Police Officer. What a fun day!
